Barr Confirms Multiple Intel Agencies Implicated In Anti-Trump Spy Operation
The Federalist ^ | 4/10/19 | Mollie Hemingway

“Spying on a political campaign is a big deal,” Attorney General William Barr told a Senate committee on Wednesday morning. Barr’s comments came in the context of potential Justice Department reviews of the Trump-Russia investigation and how it began in 2016.

While it is important that the top law enforcement in the United States publicly acknowledged that the Obama administration and its intelligence agencies surveilled its domestic political opponents during the heat of a presidential election, it is what he said next that was most startling: that the CIA and other federal agencies in addition to the FBI may have been involved. “I’m not talking about the FBI necessarily, but intelligence agencies more broadly,” he said.

I’m guessing the agenda had something to do with that same old theme they push...that the intelligence community is wise, dedicated to protecting America, is the final arbiter... and of course “if we could only understood what they really did... but alas, they must work their thankless job”

Notice Barr's manner as he replies to Jeanne Shaheen's questions. He is not afraid to say, and repeat, to these not-very-bright children, that the Trump campaign was spied on. He adds the comforting caveat that whether it was justified would depend on whether the spying was "predicated" (triggered by acts that would justify spying).

But he's toying with them because, despite his good manners, he doesn't really care what they think. He wouldn't blink at putting any of them or their friends in jail or worse. He'd just make sure it was done right.

It's so refreshing and clarifying to hear a straightforward AG with b***s. I'd forgotten that was possible.

I wonder what has happened to the new female
CIA Director that Trump appointed. She sure is keeping a
a very low profile. I can't remember seeing her on any of
the talking heads news shows or giving interviews
or even press conferences. Perhaps she's actually doing
her job instead of showing off at CNN or MSNBC studios like
Brenner & Clapper and Comey were always doing.

Remember, everything here happened because admiral Rodgers came forward. Had he not, nothing would have ever come to light. The man is a hero of the republic.

Out of all the people involved one way or the other in this outrage, only one person came forward. The rest sat on their hands or worse helped perpetrate the coup against an elected president.

Well said and right on.

And the Dems didn’t do themselves any favors by irritating him today or yesterday.

We lost the House because (1) Paul Ryan was a A-Hole RINO, (2) The ongoing Mulehead Russiagate HOAX Investigation fueled by the DNC Media and (3) 45 RINO Republicans “retired” because they thought we would lose the House thanks to the Mulehead Russiagate HOAX Investigation and the ineffective Leadership of A Hole RINO Paul Ryan.

You make a good point. Hopefully she’s very busy cleaning house and in the process finding things implicating Brennan.

“.....“I’m not talking about the FBI necessarily, but intelligence agencies more broadly,” he said......”

It is much broader than that. I also believe that the UK and Commonwealth intelligence agencies also spied on Trump and turned over their information or were used to set up Trump associates. The Australian High Commissioner (sort of Ambassador) and the MI-6 Agent Roger Steele were just too deeply involved for it not to be an MI-6 job.

I’ll watch the movie but the book will be much better. The book is always better than the movie.

A great example is “The Godfather”

Joe D. seems pretty well connected and is cheering for Barr.

So I would guess he knows what he’s talking about when he describes what we have been hearing about Adm. Rogers finding the illegal contractor access to raw NSA data, I think it was, that then followed a path to cause all sorts of mischief:

Think how much paper is being shredded and servers being wiped clean right now.

Except that it’s too late. You can bet that Trump has it all, and has had it ever since Admiral Rogers made that fateful trip to Trump Tower to warn the president elect. And on top of that, attempting to destroy evidence only adds to their criminal liability. It is a thing of beauty to watch your enemies panic.

We can only imagine the grin on our President's face as more of the attempted coup to remove him gets aired by our side.

Obama won’t hang. But he may replace Benedict Arnold. The difference between Obama and Arnold is that at one time, at Saratoga, Benedict Arnold had been a great patriot. Obama skipped the patriot part and went straight to treason.

“Were they also spying on Cruz,Kasich and etc.”

Yes, and Obama’s secret police were probably spying on Democrats, too.

There is compelling evidence that the spying was going on as early as 2015. Long before Trump won the nomination. That’s when Sally Yates prohibited Inspector General Michael Horowitz from performing oversight of the DOJ National Security Division.

By early 2016 Admiral Mike Rogers over at NSA became aware of ongoing unauthorized access to raw NSA intelligence and he shut it down. And soon after that happened the coup plotters made their first request to the FISA court for permission to spy.
