Full title: Navy SEAL Eddie Gallagher’s commander defying Trump’s orders, trying to send him ‘back to the brig’: lawyers
The legal team representing Navy SEAL Edward Gallagher is now accusing his commander of undermining orders from President Trump by imposing “unnecessary and punitive restrictions” on the decorated warfighter in hopes to entrap him and get him “remanded back to the brig.”
The blistering allegations against Naval Special Warfare Group 1 Commodore Capt. Matthew D. Rosenbloom were outlined in a 19-page court motion provided to Fox News just 10 days after the commander in chief tweeted that Gallagher will be moved to “less restrictive confinement while he awaits his day in court” on May 28.
Special Operations Chief Gallagher, who is alleged to have killed an injured ISIS prisoner of war in Iraq, amongst other war crimes, was moved out of the brig at U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in late March after being confined there since September 2018. Gallagher is now being held at another facility in the San Diego-area, but his lawyers are asserting that Rosenbloom is overstepping his bounds, and in their filing late Tuesday asked a military court to remove the “conditions of pretrial restraint unlawfully placed upon” him.
"Despite numerous attempts to bring the illegality of these actions to CAPT Rosenbloom’s attention, in the hopes that he would reverse course, CAPT Rosenbloom has remained intransigent and defiant of both the Orders of the President of the United States and the principles of the Constitution, which he swore to uphold and defend," lawyer Timothy Parlatore wrote in the filing.

Rosenbloom is a Navy officer so he would be busted down to ensign. Hope PDJT sends the word down the chain to squash this creep.
I declined an appointment to USNA at Annapolis because I already knew that the USN officer corps is cannibalistic, with an ethos of `find fault, place blame’ among its members.
With all the morons who have chosen to defy the President during his time in office, I'd find it hard to believe that he didn't follow up his tweet with a signed order so that there wasn't any avenue for his order to be misunderstood. I'm assuming there's a bunch of paperwork, legal and standard, that would have to be completed to accomplish the transfer, and President Trump's written order would be part of it. Time will tell.

Hmmmmm, I can’t imagine /s....Odungo had a plan but through the Grace of God wasn’t able to accomplish it. He wasn’t for this country.......he tried everyday of his Presidency to undermine or have his minions undermine us. One of the first things you learn at boot camp is the “chain of command”.
While this will change, especially at the lower end, from duty station to duty station, but all alone at the very top at EVERY military installation is the Commander in Chief.
Currently, the name Donald J Trump occupies that position.
In the military, there is no higher authority. Not Congress, not the courts, NO ONE!
Me thinks this Capt has something to hide and wants to shut up the service member he is trying to toss in the Brig. No Brig. Gen. for this guy and a general discharge, unless POTUS has him CM’d.
Send the commander to the brigg.
Rosenbloom needs to be reassigned to the South Pole weather station.
Politicians get such big egos they “forget” they work for the People and many officers suffer the same syndrome...sch big fish in their personal ponds they forget that a real CINC may not be good for their careers....any bets the guy has Dem aspirations in the political arena?
