House Democrats running a hearing on racism on social media was bound to be an embarrassing disaster. And that was before Rep. Ted Lieu, the most embarrassing House Dem not to be a CBC member, decided to run a gotcha routine on Candace Owens.

And before Rep. Nadler, trying to figure out how to monetize the post-Mueller landscape, decided to step in and defend him. That resulted in Nadler delivering a line that just begs for the Mark Twain treatment. "The witness may not refer to a member of the committee as stupid."

Trying to grandstand, Nader made a complete fool of himself.

She never called Ted Lieu stupid. Everybody but Nader will get that immediately as soon as they watch the video.

Reminiscent of Clarence Darrow’s reply to the judge at the Scopes Monkey trial. Darrow made some, probably snarky, comment about the proceedings which offended the judge.

The judge said, “I hope counsel is not impugning the integrity of this court.”

To which Darrow replied, “His honor is entitled to hope.”

I always wanted to see a dem congress trying to grill an extremely intelligent and erudite man on live TV. William F Buckley Jr as the witness(victim) would have been epic. :-)

She never mentioned a committee member being stupid.

But Owens is 100% correct.

Democrats DO think black people are stupid.

Too bad that Nadler was so dense, he ran into a buzz-saw.
