House Democrats running a hearing on racism on social media was bound to be an embarrassing disaster. And that was before Rep. Ted Lieu, the most embarrassing House Dem not to be a CBC member, decided to run a gotcha routine on Candace Owens.
And before Rep. Nadler, trying to figure out how to monetize the post-Mueller landscape, decided to step in and defend him. That resulted in Nadler delivering a line that just begs for the Mark Twain treatment. "The witness may not refer to a member of the committee as stupid."

BTW the video of this hearing goes in my collection of videos to watch again and again.
:)
"Never interrupt your enemy when hes making a mistake," possibly Napoleon Bonaparte.
“Nadler just assumed, naturally, that she was calling Lieu stupid. Why he jumped to that conclusion is a question Lieu ought to ask him.”
Love it. LOL!
Oh how about saying “but I took an oath to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth”.
I guess it was better that she just toasted the moron by correcting him. But god that was a hanging slow pitch.
I’d agree with the Hon. Chairman, as no point is served in stating the obvious.
The Chairman exposed his sensitivity to the charge of stupidity. He heard the word and it startled him out of his snooze and he naturally felt personally wounded by the word.
Because if we allowed it, there'd be no time for any other testimony.
And not terribly bright which the Chairman was fearful of that being exposed.
Why not???
If the dunce cap fits...
‘Madam chairwoman, If this committee can restrict what I say, can it restrict what I think?’
“Of course not”
‘In that case I think you are an idiot’.
These anointed assholes forget who they work for.
how about cognitively challenged legislator with delusions of adequacy?
Dems are providing the fodder for their own defeat with all of this public stupidity.

yup
referring to every stupid member as stupid would take all day.
I grab every sound clip and video clip I can to listen to her.
I really like her points and the way she presents the facts.
In my first career as a bank examiner, we were instructed to NEVER call someone a liar. The preferred method was to logically lay out clear fact such that the only conclusion that could possibly be reached was that a person was clearly a liar.
I know from personally using this method that it works, although in the political arena, the media could carve up such an exchange to promote a different conclusion.
All right minded people thought it.
Good on her. She dished it right back to these bloviating hypocrites.
Lieu said he doesnt know Ms. Owens.
He knows her now. What a coward.
Nadler shouldn't be blamed. After all, he was deafened by the dog-whistle.
