A federal judge ordered the Trump administration to stop its new policy of sending asylum-seekers who jumped the border back to Mexico to wait while their cases proceed, ruling Monday that the plan was likely illegal... Judge Richard Seeborg, an Obama appointee to the bench, said... Mexico is so dangerous that making asylum-seekers wait there even if theyre not from Mexico is untenable.

At least that seems to be the closest thing to a legal rationale for this clearly political abuse of office by the judge, that I could gather from the article.
It goes on to say "Federal law allows the government to make immigrants who illegally jumped the border go back and wait on the other side of the border either Mexico or Canada. But no previous administration had tested that policy."
Of course, an appeal would have to go to the 9th Circus.
Judges once ruled on the law and not their opinions.
IGNORE HIM.
Remind me, how many judges did Lincoln arrest for sedition?
Is he saying that Mexico is a $#*+#0£ country?
How about allowing waiting in the USA provided it’s between the border and the wall?
Okay put them in his back yard where they can wait and keep an eye on them!
You are the judge; you are supposed to know this stuff BEFORE making a ruling.
I dont see where these judges have the ability to prevent a president from doing his job.
A judge has no authority to rule on actions taken under declarations of emergency. A declaration of emergency is stepping outside the law to deal with an immediate emergency. The only constitutional remedy for a president who uses the power wrongfully is that congress can over-ride his declaration.
He needs to ignore this one judge.
On the citizenship question controversy, he was all party line.
The Trump administration's effort to add a question on citizenship to the 2020 Census was struck down Wednesday by a second federal judge. The citizenship question, already blocked by a federal judge in New York and scheduled to be addressed by the Supreme Court next month, received its second strike from District Judge Richard Seeborg. He becomes the fifth federal judge from the same Northern District of California to rule against the administration on an immigration issue, all of whom were nominated by Presidents Barack Obama or Bill Clinton...."
This ruling was not about the Emergency Declaration, it was about the “Wait in Mexico” Policy, where third country nationals who passed through Mexico to claim asylum in the USA, are sent back to Mexico to wait for their court date, rather than being released into the USA.
There are at least three other lawsuits against re-programming money under the Emergency Declaration to build wall - the House of Representatives, a group of State AGs, and the ACLU. None of them have gotten a judgement yet.
No doubt they have shopped for politically reliable hack judge, and are just waiting for the last minute for a judgement, right before the money is ready to actually start spending (reprogrammed), to leave as little time for an appeal as they can.
It is all just a delaying/harassment tactic - the law is crystal clear that the President is authorized to declare an emergency, and to use Military Construction funds to build things to address that emergency.
So I hear that Trump could ignore those orders, but that stupid btch heading Homeland obeys the judges instead...
Too bad Trump can’t have that judge strung up! it
The law allows it but that wasn’t good enough for this judge. Can’t make this stuff up.
The President shouldn’t be the Tweeter in Chief on this this one, try the Commander in Chief.
ruling Monday that the plan was likely illegal.
the ELECTED PRESIDENT should ignore
and the IMPEACH the criminal blackrobe
who deems himself above the PRESIDENT.
Legally the judge is flat out wrong. Mexico qualifies as a safe country for asylum.
This is why the first order of business is getting rid of obamas legacy, these enemy judges
Bingo..... Ignore
