I no longer follow MLB or the NFL, but I am aware that John Henry is a worm.
The official name change of Yawkey Way back to Jersey Street is supposedly part of the ceremony coming up. This action largely the result of initiatives of John Henry, the filthy rich owner of the Red Sox and Boston Globe who to my knowledge has no charitable Institutions named after him.
Meanwhile, I am intimately familiar with a couple of multi million Dollar facilities which were built using Yawkey money in order to serve the poorest persons of the Metro region.
Meanwhile, Henry has continued to thrive financially by polluting the previously unadorned Fenway Park with advertising saturating the once prior beautiful green walls that Yawkey refused to provide space for.
During my youth, Fenway Park was an oasis away from the advertising.

It's tough to be beloved* in Boston when your politics are wrong. Just ask Tim Thomas...Vezina trophy winner, Conn Smythe trophy winner, and Stanley Cup champion...arguably the single best season ever put up by a Boston athlete...
...run out of town for being a Tea Party supporter...
*beloved = media-endorsed belovedness

Unless they will not be in attendance at Gillette Stadium, who cares?
