President Trump announced Sunday afternoon that Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen "will be leaving her position" after 16 months in the job.
Trump also announced that U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Kevin McAleenan will replace Nielsen as acting secretary, tweeting: "I have confidence that Kevin will do a great job!"

Nielsen's departure is the latest staffing shakeup in the department, which was founded to combat terrorism after the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks.
On Friday, Trump confirmed he had withdrawn the nomination of acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Ron Vitiello to become the permanent head of the agency, telling reporters that "Ron’s a good man, but we’re going in a tougher direction, we want to go in a tougher direction."

I have to disagree with you. It is a war. MS13, drug cartels, Human trafficking, gruesome murders, gang rapes, etc. Go talk to a rancher whose land is on that border, or those who live in the border towns. They’ll tell you it’s a war.
The problem is that the we are not fighting this as a war. We need to do so - and I do mean as in military combat, not screwing around playing fence installers and paper shufflers for the CBP.
The Mexican government are a bunch of corrupt Marxist thugs, in league with the drug cartels and human traffickers. They are not going to stop this invasion. In fact, they are assisting in its advance. So we have to stop it ourselves - even if that means declaring war on Mexico, and wiping out every last thing for 50 miles deep into their territory. We need to establish a “no mans land”, complete with land mines, machine gun towers, helicopter gunships, and a permanent military presence. And I really don’t give a rat’s tail whether we have trade with Mexico or not. As far as I am concerned, the Mexicans are all scum, who need to be taught a very hard lesson. We kicked their ass once before - it’s high time they get taught a second and more brutal lesson.
I saw her too, and thought she was a typical politician. She ate Tucker's lunch while he sat there like in a trance. He'd ask what Trump will do and she kept on reciting "Everything's on the table." No straight answers, no grit. Just another deep state weasel and I'm glad she's going.

I’ve read that Kushner has cooked up a plan for Jews to be kicked out of their homes in Israel on the West Bank which is called “Deal of the Century”.
At least that’s what some conservative politicians and activists in Israel say in connection with the political campaign currently coming to an end with the voting Tuesday.
Would not want to see Trump involved in anything like that and I would not like to think that Kushner would sell out Jewish people in the West Bank settlements.
She has only so many border patrol agents, only a finite number of beds to hold the illegals and anything over that number have to be released. What would you do? Mass executions?
I don’t have time for unserious posts. I know you’re venting and you are in a bad mood, but nothing is gained by mass executions. It was not created by Exec Order. It was passed by Congress. A president can’t magically create/abolish cabinet level departments.
In business over the years I saw revolving door and turnover, and at break neck pace in some instances.
Experience taught me a few things in this regard.
What it tended to point up was one thing or the other, but usually nothing else.
A) Either the executive was hiring total failures (meaning they were good on the surface but turned out disloyal or incompetents) for those positions and therefore his/her own due-diligence and reading of people, and accordingly his/her leadership had to be called into question.
—Or—
B) He/she was actually hiring good staff but for some reason was either frustrating them, not soliciting/respecting/taking their advice, or not motivating them or appreciating them.
As I said, it was usually never another explanation than these two.
The last I heard was, the “buck stops here” (Oval Office).
But maybe that’s changed.
