The reality is that Kavanaugh and Merrick Garland concurred in their votes over 90% of the time when they served together on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.

But most cases that appear before most courts tend to be rather technical and apolitical in nature. That's why there's little controversy in most rulings.

The real issue is both political parties continuing to look to SCOTUS to tackle political issues that really should be the purview of Congress. It's Congress' continuing desire to hide behind the Court's skirts and duck "hot potato" political issues that's the root problem.
