President Trump said in an interview Thursday that he wasn’t surprised Barbara Bush is quoted dissing him in a new book — because he campaigned so harshly against the former first lady’s children.
“I have heard that she was nasty to me, but she should be,” he told the Washington Times in an interview.
“Look what I did to her sons,” he added.
Trump was responding to a question about a new biography of Barbara Bush, published after she died, that reveals the former first lady was extremely critical of him going back to the 1990s.
The biography, “The Matriarch: Barbara Bush and the Making of a Dynasty,” quotes from the late first lady’s diary, in which she wrote that Trump represents “greed, selfishness and ugly.”

I couldn’t possibly agree more. Someone needs to either take his phone away or stitch a cell phone jammer into his suits.
Why?
President Trump is who he is. If his tweets lead to his downfall, then it is on him. Are you going to become a Democrat because you do not approve of his tweets?
I would rather have someone not afraid of attacking back then some PC wimp (like most Republican Presidents) try going along to get along.
Actually his response was an honest one. Barbara Bush did not like President Trump, and the President says he can understand her feelings. He did not attack her.
A family of assassins and traitorous globalists... they deserve whatever is coming their way.

The Bushes had no problem telling the world they voted for Hillary and Trump is wrong on the border and he caused Barbara’s heart attack. Maybe they should stop it.
Occasionally President Trump should just move on to another question. He takes the bait way too easily.

I dunno. Maybe. But probably the majority of his supporters understand that people need to defend themselves and have had enough of every GOP President Milquetoast over the last 30 years. People who support him will support him in spite of his tweets. The others will support the other guy, whomever that is. It won’t change minds one way or the other, IMHO.

I think some of the Freepers want him to let people insult him daily without fighting back. In a Kinder Gentler I’m a Pussy kind of way.

Not too familiar with Bush Sr. but I didn’t like Bush Jr. because he was so pathetic in his demeanor. And then that “saw grass” thing to create bio-fuel while under Trump the US is now an oil exporter; Bush Jr. kept rolling over whenever the MSM attacked him rather than standing up for himself.
Of course there are bad feeling from the Bushes and the Clintons, they both thought they were heirs to the throne, and that’s on them. When you feel entitled, losing hurts real bad. If anyone should have kept quiet, it’s the Bushes, all of them. They didn’t say jack about Obama and they befriended the crooked one, bad judgement stemming from their establishment associations.

Amen to that. The big bonus with Trump is that he is so attuned to the human condition that instead of criticizing Barbara, he admits he motivated her to do it. It was, of course, a boast as only Trump could make. God bless him.
