A south Palo Alto activist has been fired from her accounting job at Gryphon Stringed Instruments after chasing a man wearing a Make America Great Again cap out of Starbucks and then posting about the confrontation on Facebook.
Rebecca Parker Mankey, 46, was fired on Tuesday (April 2), the day after she yelled at a man with a bushy gray beard named Victor who regularly visits the Starbucks at 361 California Ave. in Palo Alto wearing a red MAGA hat. Mankey didnt return the Posts requests for comment.
Anybody in Palo Alto know this freak? Mankey asked in a widely shared Facebook post that included two photos of the man at Starbucks. He will never forget me and will think seriously about wearing that hat in my town ever again. If you see him in this hat, please confront him.

>>>God has blessed you with the wisdom of discernment.<<<
Maybe, but I pretty much just lost my appetite. All I could think about was, “what kind of foreign antibodies will be crawling around in any sandwich he makes?”
Small town.
In one small town I lived in, if you got a DUI, or did something despicable, everyone would know it.
Plus, if she has her employer’s name or such on her FB page or other social media I, and many others, think she has dragged them into such a fiasco.
In a smaller town, an employer is known by their employees, ta least in my observation, and PA is not that big.
"...perfect doo for cleaning overhead light fixtures"
And by her picture, she should never call another human being a freak...unless she is looking in a mirror.
That’s what I was thinking. I didn’t see a picture of the guy she was bullying but I wondered what this evolutionary dead end would consider a “freak”.
That picture puts the F in Fugly!
ROTFL!!!!
Anybody in Palo Alto know this freak?
I’ve come to believe that one of the defining characteristics of a Progressive is the lack of a sense of irony.
Fired from her job and receiving harassment and death threats because she wanted her friends to get a guy fired from his job, give him harassment and death threats.
Gotta savor the irony.
It's a condition known as "irony deficient."
Don’t need to buy anything! New Starbucks policy ... just sit, drink their water, and use their free wifi and toilets. They literally CAN’T harass you because of that incident back east. Corporate policy says LEAVE FOLKS ALONE even if they don’t buy anything.
As expected......
The incident has had repercussions not only for Mankey, who said on Tuesday she’s received death threats and was fired from her job as an accountant, but also for her former employer, Gryphon Stringed Instruments. Staff at the store said they were inundated with angry phone calls and emails Monday and Tuesday.
~snip~
Matt Lynch, retail manager at Gryphon Stringed Instruments, said the store has also been caught up in the politically fueled maelstrom. The business received many emails and phone calls Monday and Tuesday about Mankey’s comments. People from all over the world have been posting negative Yelp reviews about the store people who have never been customers, he added.
“It’s been a tough day,” he said, wearily. “What she said in no way reflects Gryphon or how the company feels.” He added that “100 percent” of the calls have been against what Mankey said.
Mankey had worked for the company for four years. She is no longer employed there, he said.
“It’s a big shock to us,” he said.
If you had a mentally deranged bigot working for you and they created all this drama for your business - you’d fire her also.
While I appreciate the irony, I suspect that most threats to her are Hoax or False Flag.

And a high sense of projection.
Yea, wearing a red hat is a freak.
So Navy ... if you served you know how the chain of command would have felt if you had berated a civilian or said disparaging things about your commander, or anyone really except a Marine of course. LOL It reflects on your employer if you publicly do bad stuff!
That hair style hit its peak around 1979. She probably thinks shes edgy, anyhow! ;)
