It began when Palo Alto resident Rebecca Parker Mankey attempted to shame an elderly white man wearing a red Make America Great Again hat as he sat in the coffeehouse an encounter she later wrote about on social media. Calling him a "hater of brown people," Mankey said she yelled at him and addressed Starbucks customers and employees to join her in her effort. She said she left the store but soon returned and continued to yell at him. Mankey said she was "heartbroken" that other white people didn't stand up against the man wearing what has become for some a symbol of hate. She followed him out of the store to the parking lot, where she continued to berate and swear at him.
She called the man "Nazi scum" and threatened to post pictures of him on social media, which she then did, along with her version of the incident on her Facebook page and on Twitter. She asked the public for help finding him "I want him to have nowhere to hide," she wrote -- a practice called "doxing," or posting personal contact information to encourage threats and harassment.
The incident has had repercussions not only for Mankey, who said on Tuesday she's received death threats and was fired from her job as an accountant, but also for her former employer, Gryphon Stringed Instruments. Staff at the store said they were inundated with angry phone calls and emails Monday and Tuesday.

OMG!!
I would not have any sort of relationship with a beast that ugly inside and out if she were the last female on earth. It wouldn’t matter one bit if she were a drop-dead gorgeous 10, either. I couldn’t abide any woman (or man) that is that hideously cruel and unhinged.
Of course he instigated it. He was sitting there peacefully, sipping his coffee, minding his own business, and wearing his hat.

You don’t find this behavior here in North Idaho.
LOL...all the men in subservient positions in the bottom row.
I see her husband is in the photo and he looks nearly as as weird as she does.
Say what you will about Milo Yanopolous, but he is absolutely correct in asserting the big project on the left is to make physical violence (and all its less personally hazardous proxies) an acceptable response to words and ideas...even when those words and ideas come from the attackers own distortion of the victims actual position.
What did she expect? She publicly harassed the man. The only reason she didn't get her ass kicked is that she is a woman. Then she tries to dox him too? All for having the temerity to wear a MAGA hat?! These people are INSANE!
Gawd, somehow I just knew....
Very nice, well balanced, thoughtful letter you wrote to Mr. Lee.
I expect you will be called racist, evil, fascist, etc. in return.
I love your response - the wording is perfect!
To be lauded as a paladin of justice.
PING
I would rather walk through the Fukushima reactor than go on a "date" with that thing.
Peaceful co-existence with the vile, insane left is a fallacy. There is no way. It’s only a matter of time before one of these insane leftist POSs pick on the wrong person and gets blow away. It’s coming.
OMG! What happen? Did we finally got nuked or something. I hope she doesn’t procreate.
Feinstein, Pelosi, Jerry Brown and Jim Jones all hang in Palo Alto where Jim Jones lived.
I think if one is going to wear a mega hat they need to also be carrying some holy water, anointing oil, a cross..., or just carrying. My flesh says just carrying, but I probably have enough to repent for already.
I'm also in CA and have found this to be true. Most Trump supporters feel they have to keep their mouths shut and won't wear any Trump clothing. I have never seen even one Trump bumper sticker or MAGA hat, ever. But once a fellow Trump supporter finds out I'm one, too, it's like opening the floodgates. They'll speak...oh, in whispers, if there are others around...but they seem so relieved to finally be able to speak. Meanwhile, the libs freely and loudly shoot off their mouths whenever they feel like it.
Sigh.
I don’t think it is useless at all, because we all know that there are young people who do make that transition from Left to Right. People get jobs, pay taxes, have children, people they love die, and they change.
I think all young people do have a degree of leftism at some point. I think I never had a lot, but I know there was a little, often in embarrassing corners.
What saddens and alarms me is the degree of loss of self-control of many on the left who should be capable enough and mature enough to avoid it, but...don’t.
