Bullsht. Plenty of avocado on the Ivory Coast. Mexican avocados are controled by narcos. Where is the DEA?

I don’t get that AT ALL. Please explain to me why the President can’t shut down ALL MIGRATION across our southern Border while still allowing Products to proceed thru customs ports?

It’s not like 18 wheelers and Trains full of produce/materials are swimming across the Rio Grande and sneaking in under the fences through tunnels.

Two thoughts:
Doesn’t California have a thriving Hass avocado farming industry?

Perhaps an avocado shortage will send some illegals back to Mexico.

So it’s going to cost me three times as much to throw away my guacamole. How much is it going to cost me to throw away my parsley?

> And when auto plants start shutting down?

How foolish. Auto plants don’t use avocados.

Amazing how so many Americans are willing to sell their birthrights for a bowl of friggin’ green goo!

Congratulations, American Public Schools, NEA, AFT, Jimmah Carter and Mr. Dewey! Mission Accomplished!

Such a conflicting dilemma: Save the nation or avocados.

Oh, I like avocados. When we lived in NM we learned to cook the BEST MEXICAN food in the world (NOT FROM Mexico).

Colorado and New Mexico Mexican food is the best in the World. Why?

1. It did not originate in Mexico.

2. Hatch Green Chili's, ommmm Good. Nothing like it.

3. We use better ingredients.

4. We learned to like avocados from good friend from Costa Rico.

We need to start enforcing the Guacamole Act of 1917

Avocados are fattening. Avoid it as part of your diet.

Interestingly, the California avocado season should be cranking up about now. I see more demand for them in their immediate future.

I prefer avocadoes from there. Hard to find, though. Closing the border ought to help our local farmers.

I've got a great guac recipe. Make it about every other week as a healthy snack, WBill Jr loves it.

Interesting, avocado prices aren’t going anywhere but down if I buy into this logic, because the border ain’t being closed.

“I’ve never ate an avocado anyway.”

If you’ve ever wondered what green tastes like...eat an avocado.

Florida and California both produce avocados.Possibly Texas also. Just buy those. If I'm not mistaken Tom Selleck owns a working avocado grove in California.

If you don't mind imports, Peru also ships avocados here.

Screw Mexico. Most of the Avocado groves there have been taken over by the cartels anyway.

That's the thing about executive orders. Trump can make case-by-case exceptions for things like trainloads of auto parts.

Quite right. However, U.S. economists and university professors are all over the news this morning declaring that a border closing would be "insane", "unbelievable" "shocking", "cataclysmic". etc.

That blatantly anti-Trump, anti-American message will saturate the news as the possibility of a closure nears. Team Trump will need to respond effectively and that will require the full support of R politicians.

Those who advocate impeachment will be closely watching and measuring any loss of Trump R support, along with the usual encouraging of those who might be tempted to abandon him.

You never know. UAW. Cafeteria food takes a hit. Could be grounds for a strike.
