In the classic horror film “Night of the Living Dead,” a space probe returning from Venus blows up and causes corpses to rise from their graves to attack the living. I got thinking about that movie when I read that Jeb Bush was back in the news last week, begging for someone to run against Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential primaries.
The dictionary defines a zombie as “a person or reanimated corpse that has been turned into a creature capable of movement but not of rational thought.” Bush fills the bill. If you doubt that, consider what he said in a recent interview on CNN:
“I think someone should run, just because Republicans ought to be given a choice,” he said. He also called for Republicans “to have a conversation about what it is to be a conservative.” Okay, here goes: Is your last name Bush? Then you’re not a conservative.
The members of the Bush family are and always have been the textbook example of political moderates. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. But as of the release of the Mueller report, the moderate wing of the Republican Party has been routed.
Not a moment too soon, I say. Like Bush, the moderate Republicans have been so consumed by what’s known as “Trump derangement syndrome” that they can’t think straight. At the top of the list would be the three pundits who appeared in the New York Post’s “Mueller Madness” chart the other day. This was an NCAA-like chart of 64 critics who got the Russia probe wrong.
Among them were faux-conservatives Max Boot and Jennifer Rubin of the Washington Post. Then there was Bill Kristol, late of the failed Weekly Standard. Like the zombies they are, all three were prepared to dance on the grave....

No, there IS a lot wrong with “political moderates” like the Boosh Family of Globalist Traitors. Thankfully, Little Yebbie is finished and so Texas voters need to make sure his Mexican half-breed son, gets the boot as Texas Railroad Commissioner at the earliest opportunity. No time like the present to drive the final nail in that worthless family’s political coffin!

Nice piece, and thanks for posting. The lengths to which the establishment Republicans are still willing to go to undermine a Republican President are one indication of how self-destructive the party really has become. If we’re lucky we’ll get another four years of Trump to hold back the advance of the establishment zombies but things are looking a little bleak after that.
Pat Toomey send me a letter asking for a campaign contribution. I wrote in big black letters “ BUILD THE WALL- no money for you.”

I think the lack of prepaid envelopes is because we had an organized brick mailing in the day.
Answer: He doesn't want to be embarrassed again by losing to Trump. He knows even with what remains of the Never Trumpers and a few democrat crossovers trying to cause mischief, he still couldn't break 10%....
Add the name Ralph Peters to the list of the worst TDS cases. I haven’t see or heard that A-hole in months ... and I was really starting to hope that he’d offed himself.

We live in Northampton County, & I’ve never seen Toomey at any Republican meeting I went to. He never showed up when Pence & Ivanka came to Bethlehem. We went to a Trump rally in Hershey & Toomey wasn’t there either.
