A bill that would allow 18- to 20-year olds to carry guns concealed within city limits passed the Idaho Senate (28-7) last week and was sent to the governor to sign, which he is expected to do. The bill passed in the Idaho House on March 14.
The legislation, H.B. 206, would lower the age limit for carrying a concealed weapon without a permit within city limits from 21 to 18. Currently, Idaho residents 18 and older may carry a permitless concealed weapon outside city limits.
With the new bill, Idaho citizens who are legally allowed to own firearms would be allowed "to do so within city limits without having to pay fees and obtain a government-issued license to do so," said the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action.

In Idaho, they get it.
My inlaws moved last year from Reagan Country (Ventura County CA). After they got moved into CDA, ID area, we counted out his semi-autos and standard 20 and 30 round magazines. Inlaws faced over 1000 years in CA prison due to their modest firearm collection. Best decision they ever made.

Bullcrap. The US military will hand them machine guns, grenades, and missiles at that age. If its good enough for them its good enough for civilians.

I love how we have our adulthood phased in here in the USA. You can drive at 16, vote at 18, drink and buy a handgun at 21, rent a car at 25.
When is he due to sign the bill?
If one can be legally married at 18, he/she should be able to legally carry in order to protect one’s family.

But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
Many Biblical scholars believe that this verse applies to all aspects, even security.
Utah passed 18 year old concealed carry a year ago to help prevent college campus assaults. Can’t carry on elementary or high school property until you’re 21.
I carried a scary black rifle when I was 19.

Me, too. And got carded on our way home at a bar in the Honolulu airport.
A safety course required for hunting. I don’t see a problem with the new law. Im in Northern Idaho above Bonners Ferry. We have low crime here. A armed population is a polite, and courteous population. The problem with transplants, such as me 7 years ago, is that they want “services” and are willing to pay more property taxes to get them. That is exactly what I was fleeing CA from....heavy tax and government nanny state. If you can’t handle being self sufficient, stay in a nanny state, don’t come over here and fuck it up for us that don’t need goober mint.
Perhaps in the 1800’s when 18 year old males were MEN. But today? Seriously? MOST 18 year old males are STILL boys. Not all, but MOST.
LOL! Well somebody has overloaded Vegas and now the entire state is at Clark county and even Washoe county’s mercy. Reno has exploded since we got here 8 years ago. And not necessarily for the better.
LOL.

And Also For Voting
Men, women, girls and boys have been able to carry a concealed weapon at age 16 since my State became the 14th State in the Union in 1791. Anybody younger than 16 can legally carry concealed if they also have a signed permission slip from Dad, Mom or a guardian - that’s in our Statutes.
We consistently have the first, second or third lowest homicide rate in the country.
