Cost of living in NY just went up agin. Do they really think delivery companies are going to absorb the toll themselves? Cant wait for all the NYers to start crying when restaurant prices go up.

The stupidity, smug ignorance, and self-absorbed arrogance of New Yorkers knows no bounds. These people elected the parasites in Albany and city hall in NYC, but then can't understand why their taxes keep going up, and their quality of life keeps going down. It's a total mystery to them.
So what do they do? They move to Texas, Florida, Georgia, etc. and promptly vote Democrat. New Yorkers are like metastatic cancer cells breaking off the main tumor (NY) and starting additional disease in other parts of the country. They'll keep up until the USA is like Venezuela and they still will be too stupid to understand and too arrogant to believe that they caused the mess. Because after all they lived in "the city" and anyone who lived in "the city" has got to be far superior to those of us in fly over country And no we DON'T want to be like them. We don't envy them and we surely don't want to live in a termite mound.

new mansion taxes on the sale of multimillion-dollar homes
i.e. an Exit Tax on anyone who decides to flee to a lower tax state.

I think NY is headed for a crack up.
They're headed for a bailout. At the end of the day everyone who heads to D.C. with a sufficiently terrifying sob story gets one. I learned that in 2009.

Excellent summary... The internal migrant-invasion problem needs addressing as soon as the external migrant-invasion is stopped...

New York state population - 19.5 million. Budget - $175 billion.

Yikes.
