bray, I was exiled during the primary and, I still don’t like the way some people were treated here, but as soon as I was allowed back in, I came to this thread mostly to read your posts. And, by the way, I became a huge Trump fan right after the election.
The Russian lawyer met with Glenn Simpson the day before the Trump Tower meeting and the day after. Simpson was asked about it in Senate testimony. He said those meetings were unrelated. He was not asked if the day before meeting was unrelated to the day after meeting (i.e. two unrelated meetings that were also unrelated to the Trump Tower meeting on the day in between.)
Then they asked him what he talked about with the lawyer. He said she doesn't speak English and he doesn't speak Russian, so "not a lot of chit chat". They didn't ask him about the fact that the same translator (and all other parties) were at all three meetings.
Glenn Simpson is a lying weasel but that Senate committe let him off the hook because (IMO) they don't want Simpson working against them.
