That's because she doesn't believe in a representative form of government. She is assuming that she will be a part of the upper crust, inner circle, supreme council of her future socialist paradise. She has no interest in listening to the folks who got her in the House. They are the cannon fodder who got her there, but selfish and self-centered is her game and she wouldn't know where to begin to actually feel empathy for the needs of the citizens in her district.
One of the Number One jobs for a congresscriter is to bring home the bacon from Washington. We all don’t like it, but it is the way it is. Gotta take care of the folks back home.
If there is a problem with the mails...thats a federal type thing and worthy of a congressperson to check into....Getting afew dollars for an animal shelter is a nice thing too....Even if its donated dollars and not federal dollars. You pick up the phone and dial the numbers.

I think she needs to stay. She’s so off the wall that she’ll be driving people away. Sure, she’s going to get the liberal, hipster vote. Anyone like her will. She’ll either cause a 3rd party to form, force a few of them to stay home or maybe even hold their noses and vote for the Republican. Who knows?

Legislators have budgets for staff to handle constituents issues. It’s obvious that AOC is spending that money on other things.
