Every year, people turn their lights off to spread awareness about sustainability and climate change.

Not me.

Thanks for the heads up so I can not participate and I can see in our neighborhood who to avoid.

If these people were really that concerned about the environment, they'd give up far more than sitting around in the dark for an hour feeling pious and better than everyone else.

Not in my neighborhood. And I too will turn on all my outside lights to celebrate as well.

That would during the NCAA tournament game between UVa and Purdue. My UVa-graduate wife isn’t going to allow us to darken our house during that time (like we would have anyway).

What a load of bull-Schiff.

They do it to show off their perceived environmentalist cred because they are desperate for approval. Losers.

I trust everyone in space will be able to see my house during that time.

Sitting in the dark is an entirely appropriate way to celebrate Earth Hour. If the participants are sincere, they will continue for the full Earth Year.

This I do in remembrance of the idiots who thought up “Earth Hour”.

Better they be forgotten than remembered.

You know, I’m feeling warm and cold, so I guess I better turn both my air conditioner and heater on. The door is open, but I need fresh air.

I haven’t tested all my bulbs in a long time. I can turn those on too, see if there are any failures in that hour.

I don’t use my dishwasher, but I recycle it every so often to keep it in good running order. I’m overdue on that.

I should probably check out my televisions, stereo system, and space heaters.

My hair dryer hasn’t been used today yet. Sounds like a good time for another shower.

I’ll toss my eBike batteries on the charger to top them off. My eBike helmet can use a top off. My tail light can use one.

My iPads and Iphone need to be charged up.

I’ll charge up my laptops, the spare batteries...

I’ve got a new table saw. I can put that together and test it out.

I could have pancakes tonight, break out the electric griddle.

Hmm, a cup of coffee would be nice.
