Inducting Jane Fonda into the National Women's Hall of Fame could cost the organization its partnership with Seneca Falls, New York, its host town and the site of America's first-ever women's right's convention in 1848.
Earlier this month, the Hall of Fame announced the actress would be among its class of 2019. Citing Fonda's actions during the Vietnam War, Seneca Falls Supervisor Greg Lazzaro released a resolution Thursday morning that would pull the town's support out of respect for veterans in the community.
The resolution, which is expected to be proposed at next week's town board meeting, was released to the media and public Thursday morning.
"Jane Fondas actions of bringing medical supplies to North Vietnam during the Vietnam War, deriding our POWs...and posing for pictures atop missile-launchers designed to shoot down American planes brought divisiveness to our country and to this day to our Vietnam Veterans and it is viewed by virtually all Veterans as treason to this country," the resolution reads.
In last year's HBO documentary "Fonda in Five Acts," the "Grace and Frankie" star admitted that it was a "betrayal" to pose atop an anti-aircraft gun during her controversial 1972 visit to North Vietnam. "I will go to my grave regretting that," she said.
Despite her apology, Fonda's wartime actions continue to stir debate.

The Reluctant Sorority:
The Life, Loves and Loss of Three Vietnam War Widows Paperback January 27, 2014 by Dana Chwan (Author), Michele C. Wayland (Editor)
"The Reluctant Sorority" tells the story of loves and lives dramatically impacted by the Vietnam War. It compares and contrasts three couples the soldiers who served and the women who loved them.
From the rice paddies of Vietnam, to Red Square in Moscow and MacDill AFB in Tampa, Florida, the lives of the three men end in the bombing raid of a heavily fortified bridge in North Vietnam.
The story follows the young widows who struggle to accept their new reality and rebuild their lives. This is not just another story about war; it is about heartfelt hopes and loves and dreams, and overcoming the consequences of war.
- A secret tunnel into the American embassy at Saigon. - Smuggling gemstones out of Vietnam during the exodus of boat people after the fall of Saigon.
- Secretly removing famous art treasures from Russia.
- Defection of a young widow desperate to start a new life in America.
- Russian and North Vietnamese possessing the codes for Americas bombing targets in North Vietnam. Where fact ends and and fiction begins is seamlessly interwoven to tell the story.
The true part of the story begins in 1965 when an idealistic and patriotic 26-year old Air Force jet jockey is assigned to Ubon, Thailand for a 90-day tour of duty. Nearly two decades later, he finally comes home. From there the lives of the young widows from such divergent backgrounds, locales and motives converge through a series of twists and turns of fate.
The story of this convergence is uniquely presented for the first time in any form of literature. Youll long remember the surviving characters and their conclusion that war is insanity and their hopes that there must be a better way to settle conflict.
Dana Chwan is the surviving widow of an American serviceman who lost his life in the Vietnam war. She has been an outspoken advocate for the families of veterans and spokesperson for the POW/MIA issues that still smolder from a tragic chapter in American history.

Surely they will build a statue in her honor.
Then we can tear it down.
Few years back, she was posting to some forum, can’t for the life of me remember the name, and she was claiming that she didn’t understand photos, and how they could be used against you because she was young and naive.
I actually baited her into responding to me and to my surprise, she actually did.
I finally asked her how, seeing that she came from a very well-known Hollywood family, and seeing that she had already been twice nominated for Best Actress Oscar, and had won once, how could she claim she was naive about publicity and did she really think I was that stupid to believe that she didn’t know what she was doing when she posed on the antiaircraft gun.
She stopped replying to me.
Treason time not served.

She is one of the great...uh...reproductive orifices of history.
