Right now, United States passport holders have it pretty easy when it comes to traveling throughout Europe. No special visa is required for stays under 90 days, and no additional paperwork is required — you just show up at the border with your passport. Starting in 2021, however, Americans will need to apply for an ETIAS (European Travel Information and Authorization System) to visit 26 countries in the Schengen Zone (the UK will still be visa-free).

I am at the point that I choose to not leave Texas.
There are no kin beyond that I would go see.
There are parts of Texas I have not seen and those I need to revisit.

No visa will be required. Americans traveling to certain countries in Europe will have to preregister online as part of a security system intended to screen visa-free travelers.

The way Europe is going these days, there is nothing of importance or value to see there. I’ll just read about what ‘once was’ ... in history ... about Europe. That ‘history’ is pretty much gone now. Europe is now setting up to be the domain of the AntiChrist, who brings the entire world to its final demise, before the coming of the Messiah of Isreal, to set up the new world on this planet.

Good way to kill the tourist trade.
By and large, Americans have enough disposable income to cross oceans to vacation (more by far than any other country in the world),
Americans also don’t like to be inconvenienced. I have toyed with seeing my ancestral roots in Ireland. A visa iill make it a nogo.
