well, yes for the most part
but
not all elected
and
not all elections provide honest or genuine choices (such as the ballots in Californication, USA where many races only have two leftist D’s on the ballot)
so... yes for the most part we agree...the citizens who sleep or don’t care about their futures...are a real problem!
but maybe not 100 percent of the situations, time
When I said “people”, it includes all voters, republicans and democrats. We vote for the leaders we deserve. Socialism sounds better than capitalism in theory. But it never has created prosperity because it is non-congruent with human mentality. But many shallow thinkers like the “talk” of taking from the successful and giving it them without busting their rear ends.
Somewhere I read, when people figure out they can get more free stuff by voting for certain politicians, that is the beginning of end of democracies.
