“Assign numerous teams to investigate all manner of things we know took place.”

That would be a task force. DoJ uses task forces which include some number of prosecutors and their staffs, to go after big operations, like organized crime, drug cartels, or terrorist organizations.

When Sen Grassley asked AG Sessions to appoint a Special Prosecutor, Sessions said that the DoJ IG, and the normal prosecutors in DoJ (US Attorneys) actually have much more resources at their disposal. He said that he put US Attorney Huber in charge of reviewing the referred activities (FISA abuse, etc.) because he was experienced and successful in leading such task forces, and was experienced with highly classified Intelligence investigations.

That response was early last year, but Huber was tasked by the AG in late 2017.

Then Huber must have some things in the pipeline by now.

Thanks for your commented. Sounds reasoned.

Dems would be squealing like hyenas in leaks if the “Trump” DOJ was putting the screws to them. That there is nothing of the sort is all the clue we need that nothing has happened. No interviews, no indictments, etc. Nothing.
