Udall says he will not seek reelection in 2020

Sen. Tom Udall (D-N.M.) announced on Monday that he will not seek reelection in 2020, leaving the Senate seat he has held since 2009 up for grabs.

“I’m confident that we could run a strong campaign next year to earn a third term, because of all the work you and I have done together, along with my wife, Jill, and my incredibly dedicated staff," Udall said in a statement.

“But the worst thing anyone in public office can do is believe the office belongs to them, rather than to the people they represent. That’s why I’m announcing today that I won’t be seeking re-election next year.”

There isn’t the slightest chance that this NM seat will go GOP. Don’t delude yourself. On a good day the GOP wouldn’t have a chance. And since the current GOP did nothing but set up Trump for one good old fashioned prison rape after another from 2016 until they lost the house, nobody really has much reason to think GOP control of a seat makes much difference.

GOP sucks, the dems suck 1% less.

Sure thing. It’s possible there might be others we don’t know about. Remember that until the past half-century, most people (Whites, at least) tended not to admit or acknowledge having Native American (or Black) ancestry if it was known. Then, of course, there’s that certain fraud from Massachusetts. Sharon Clahchischilliage, conversely, I believe, is 100% Native American or close to it.

And I put up a nice first ascent on a 14er.
He was a climbing bum at that time.
He took a long fall on a swami harness, that hurt.
