Flashback: Mueller’s probe of POTUS Trump had risen to the level of a national security threat
The National Sentinel ^ | 3/24/19 | Jon Dougherty

Now that special counsel Robert Mueller has turned in his report to the Justice Department, all of official Washington is waiting for details about what’s in it.

Did Mueller really find the goods on POTUS Donald Trump, his ‘corrupt criminal enterprise’ of a business, and those darned kids? Did he find enough evidence to indict POTUS but, knowing the current Justice Department rules prohibit indicting a sitting president, just couldn’t do it?

Or will the report simply be critical of the president’s persona, his demeanor, his unorthodox way, his boorishness, his ‘mental fitness to be president?’

Time will tell; Attorney General William Barr has vowed to make as much of the report public as DoJ rules permit. The president himself has supported making the report public, as have a number of Republicans.

But anything short of naming the president as a co-conspirator with Mother Russia to “steal the 2016 election” from Hillary Clinton will satisfy Democrats. For more than two years they have been accusing our president, sans evidence and, in many cases contrary to the existing evidence, that he committed a treasonous act to plot with a foreign power the takeover of the highest elected office in our country. It’s stuff that movies have been made about (“The Manchurian Candidate”), and there’s no evidence it happened.

I think a detailed investigation should be SOP for all Politicians
Conducted by Democrats? Conducted by whom?

I will say that some purple state(s) should IMHO allow suits against allowing Electors pledged to candidates to be placed on the ballot in presidential election. Such suits should be limited to transparent constitutional ineligibility - e.g., “the candidate is under the age of 35,” or “the candidate violated the Emoluments Clause as Secretary of State by raising money to be under the candidate’s control from foreign government officials.”

Also, there could be a question of neurological fitness; the public has a right to know if a quantifiable neurological issue affects a candidate for POTUS. Can Hillary walk freely up and down stairs now? It appeared that she couldn’t, during the ’16 campaign. FDR functioned in a wheelchair while POTUS, and that was not debilitating to the country - but there are neurological conditions which would be far more problematic.

I would not, however, favor requiring disclosure of IRS data - that’s intrusive and could produce more heat than light. But I would look with favor on financial disclosure of foreign sources of income.

Now be nice but this might put things in perspective. Go to wiki and read summary of the Starr Report.

It's what led to Bubba's impeachment.

Starr talked about Bubba profusely in the report...even down to Bubba’s DNA.

But wasn't Clinton charged? With perjury?

If so, the DOJ rules apparently allow him to do that.

But I'm no expert. Just trying to figure this Mueller thing out.

But the DOJ didn't charge him. Congress took Starr's information and charged him.

I think that's how it goes.

I wish the President would sue the media, members of Congress and others for harassment, slander, etc. Not sure that is even possible.

Investigators have known for two years there was no collusion; that the Trump/Russia thing was a hoax.

So what was this all about?

Treason.
