In a survey published late Tuesday by the Pew Research Center, nearly half of all respondents in 10 EU member states said Germany plays a more important role in the world that it did a decade ago.
“There is a sense in Europe that while German power is on the rise, French and British power is stagnant or in decline,” the center said.

Not entirely true. Germany is culturally artisan and trader’s nation.
All the infamous German militarism was steming from Prussia which was hit the hardest during WWII. The culture itself didn’t survive the war because Slavs recognized Prussians for the threat they were. Prussian lands were annexed after war and population mostly killed by the Polish and Russians. A few survors weren’t really accepted in the rest of Germany for many reasons too so they moved further to Americas or gave up on leadership assimilated with the rest of the pacifist German population and are mostly extinct.
German militarists are basically Aztec of 20th century.

I don’t see issues between Poland and Germany to go to war over it as well. There are contradictions but Poland is actually a member of a German-led confederation which EU is and I don’t think if Poland is willing to change it anytime soon. Both currently benefit from the Union.
That’s scary. Germany can’t help but get carried away with its addiction to power and domination. Must be thwarted.

I think only France and Ukraine now have somehow serious war machines in Europe and both are still deficient. Poland, some other East European countries might be somehow above the rest Euro armies which are girl scout clubs but they are too small to put any fight anyway.
