Chick-fil-a is still family owned and operated. If they have a moral belief they hold as a company value and you don’t like it, don’t eat there. If you appreciate that, support them and have a meal there. They’ll have other store opportunities from communities that appreciate the company values.

If they ran an active campaign against LGBTQ people, I might begin to see this councilman’s point. But they don’t. He’s ignoring the good the company does. They welcome everyone and anyone into their restaurants. They employ special needs people. They do community work. They even employ the very type of people that this councilman says they “hate”.

I hope CfA sues their asses. Make the accuser prove it. Chick-fil-A does not have any such “legacy.” Their founder once made a comment a decade ago, before gay marriage was legalized, to his own relligion’s magazine distributed to co-religionists, and not the general public, about supporting traditional marriage, but the company itself does not discriminate in hiring or accommodating customers.

Sure sounds like a Religious Discrimination case to me.
Instead, a solid percentage of those openly support LGBTQ activities in Silicon Valley also frequent that Chick-Fil-A location. I knew of some who did. When asked, they stated (a) the food was good, and (b) no one discriminated against them when they ordered their food or made them feel they were not wanted as customers. This is a truth that will never make it to the MSM.
