Secondly, I don’t see him criticizing McCain personally, rather the man’s actions.

Trump is a straight shooter.... So, Cal Thomas and the others I guess would want Trump to do it this way:

Spot on. Even after McCain’s death, at his funeral Meghan McCain during her eulogy continued the attack on Trump. And even though Trump generously signed off on a state funeral more in line of what should be granted for a president he got zero thanks from the McCains; just a continuation of degrading and contemptuous attacks. Concerning Trumps comments about McCain; he’s now a historical public figure. So, Fat Girl Meghan had better cinch up her girdle and get used to objective and negative reviews of Her father. History can be harsh....
