The Islamic State’s caliphate has officially ended as its last stronghold is liberated

The Islamic State’s caliphate has officially ended as its last stronghold is liberated

The Islamic State declared its caliphate on June 29, 2014. At one point it controlled a territory larger than Britain, and it attracted 30,000 Muslims from 100 different countries to join it. Unfortunately, few, if any, Islamic State jihadis will take its collapse as a sign that their premises were wrong; they will just go wage jihad somewhere else, which is why Western countries are suicidal to take back the ISIS jihadis who are their citizens.

This collapse is due to President Trump. When Obama left office, it looked as if ISIS was here to stay, and was on the path to legitimization, a la the Palestine Liberation Organization.

“ISIS caliphate has officially crumbled and last stronghold liberated,” by Benjamin Hall, Fox News, March 21, 2019:

BAGHOUZ, Syria — The caliphate has crumbled, and the final offensive is over. While the official announcement hasn’t yet been made – Fox News has been told that this village, the last ISIS stronghold, is liberated.

It’s the first time since we’ve been here in Syria for five days that the bombs have stopped dropping and the gunfire has disappeared. We have witnessed the end of the caliphate – the brutal empire that once ruled over 8 million people – is gone.

Troops here are now bringing down the black flags of ISIS. The flags no longer fly over the town, instilling fear.

The last five days, Fox News has witnessed the last major offensive up close -– with U.S.-backed SDF forces attacking ISIS from three sides, pushing the fighters back, house to house, then tent to tent, against the Euphrates River.

Inside Baghouz, it’s easy to see how they hid for so long – not just in tunnels but trenches and hundreds of cubby holes covered by tarpaulins, which blend in perfectly to the dirt.

In the end, the majority surrendered. In fact, since the start of the year about 60,000 have dripped into the desert, and most are now held in camps

Good. Let’s hope this is really the end and they won’t get resurrected.

Actually, as the situation changed and the rape and torture/murder prospects started drying up, thousands of jihadiscum shaved their beards, ditched their weapons and blended into the surrounding pop and disappeared.

Many of them are back in their home countries just waiting for the next big jihadi thing to join up with.

Don’t kid yourself, Mr Spencer.

There’s been no “defeat”; they hid their weapons, shaved their beards, changed clothes and blended back into the population. They should all have been captured, tortured for any intel, and executed.

They’ll be back, when called.

Islam, like all other forms of socialism, only works under threat of severe punishment for the backsliders and the unenthusiastic. And its failure is inevitably attributed to “having the wrong people in charge”.

Well, next time they come back (and like every other form of socialism ever tried, they WILL be back), the right people with the right motivation will be in charge, and they will win for sure.

Unless they get their butts kicked so hard they dare not muster again. Kublai Khan and his great Golden Horde managed to put the various factions of Islam on notice, and the world population of Islam was greatly decimated, leaving heads on pikes for miles along roadways in and out of once-great cities. But the Muslims sort of won in the end, as the Golden Horde returned to Mongolia, many of its members and high officers converted to Islam. Seemed to be a good fit with their war conquests, giving them rationale for their bloodthirsty deeds.

The thing of it is, had they behaved differently, had they not made a public display of slaughtering Christians, Trump would have left them alone and they would now be the strongest army in the Middle East, controlling half of Iraq and half if not all of Syria.

For example, almost no one would care if the Kurds seized control of the very same territory ISIS once occupied. It would be seen as none of our business, if not actually a positive outcome.

Trump had no interest in intervening in the Syria war; it was their tactically unnecessary genocide of Christians that made him absolutely determined to wipe them out. And his promise to wipe them out was probably a good part of the reason he was elected. Not many Americans were interested in Syria, but a lot of people were shocked by what ISIS did to the civilians under their control and wanted to see something done about it.

All Obama had to do, was what he would never do... which was to tell his proxies “we are a mostly Christian nation; defend the Christians among you and we will support you to the end. Touch one hair on their heads and we will rain hell down on your heads.” I think the Saudis understood that, because they understand us pretty well. The Turks and Obama’s State Department never understood it and never cared to understand it.

I like the way you think. Execute them and execute them. I’d even go for 3 times!
