That would have been completely acceptable in times past. Not now, when the forces of darkness are on the cusp of stealing Congress and the White House in 2020.
The Democrats are brazenly holding the door open for tens of millions of third world invaders, who they've invited here to outvote the native citizens. They will overturn 240 years of American history and culture if they're not stopped.
We should be on a war footing with this problem, not frittering away precious days, weeks, and months squabbling in courtrooms, trolling Twitter, and mud wrestling with the media.
From day one, Trump should have put the entire domestic enemy contingent on notice:
"As President, I intend to use the full weight and power of this office to restore the rule of law in this country, no matter the cost. I swore an oath to protect and defend the Constitution and our great nation, and so help me God, I fully intend to keep that solemn promise, no matter what it takes."
Honestly, I'd like to hear more forceful language than that, but I'd be satisfied with anything along those lines, as long as he backed up his words with real action.
The point is, we're passed the point of dealing with our national ills on a business-as-usual basis. If the President is incapable of executing the sort of bold moves that are required to get a handle on our nation's existential problems, then it will ultimately fall to the people to do the job - and that won't be pretty by any means.
