Camille Paglia summed it up in an interview. Trump is not a politician. He didn’t start in a lower office and gradually rise accumulating trusted supporters and advisors along the way. He’s been given a lot of bad recommendations. He’s dealing with a incompetent organization with millions of employees. Many of them can change regulations on a whim. Many of them can do something that Trump gets blamed for.

My first take is that there are thousands of deep staters in gummit now or even nomination pending from obammy years.
Processing & vetting them all (especially from a rookie pol & never trump cingress) presents a lotta hoops to hump thru.

I hate to say it, but all presidential appointments have their background investigations conducted by the FBI - domestically, and the CIA for foreign leads. And they are given something like 30 days to complete them. The FBI conducts these investigations out of their headquarters, not a field office. That means the background investigation was in the hands of one of Comey’s henchmen. Need I say more???
biggest problem for trump is finding Qualified individuals for positions almost everyone who is Qualified has the stain of Washington dc. you just cant put people into theses positions with out experience. I am sure that trump did not even know this bureaucrat and the job was handed out to her from another bureaucrat who wants to setup problems within the government.
