It looked to me like the place was shot all to hell.

I saw destruction. I saw no bodies. I saw a stack of what looked like round bread. In one pic it looked as if the water table was only about a foot or so down

You can bet there were bodies, but the Kurds don’t show them.

The bread they are bringing in to distribute to new detainees.

They are right next to a big river (Euphrates), within its floodplain. The water table can’t be too deep - definitely none of the big caverns that some posted pictures of on twitter (pictures from Yemen had been posted as Baghouz)

I learned from a live report from Syria on Fox that there was an elaborate network of tunnels. The ISIS were in the tunnels when the artillery strikes hit. No need to bury the dead.
