Alan Krueger, a Princeton University economist and a top adviser under two Presidents, has died at age 58 after taking his own life.
“It is with tremendous sadness we share that Professor Alan B. Krueger, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and Princeton professor of economics took his own life over the weekend,” a statement from his family reads. “The family requests the time and space to grieve and remember him. In lieu of flowers, we encourage those wishing to honor Alan to make a contribution to the charity of their choice.”
His passing was initially announced Monday by Princeton, which praised him as “a true leader in his field, known and admired for both his research and teaching.”
Krueger was chief economist at the Department of Labor under President Clinton from 1994 to 1995, and chair of the White House Council of Economic Advisers under President Obama from 2011 to 2013.

Can't say I totally disagree....
I've worked in Health Care...for many years.
There are pain medicines..that can certainly help....But mentally....I have seen...some just want to go. They've given up...
I've seen 90 yr. old people that think they can live forever...and want everything done.
Frankly speaking...I've seen people that have abused their bodies for years...and want everything done. And many live out their lives...on a ventilator..with no control over their lives....
I don't understand....many people...that think like that.

Psychic pain is a bitch too. I think that’s what drives most suicides.
Obviously he couldn’t handle the success of the Trump Economy, therefore his Suicide was POTUS Trump’s fault.

I highly doubt this guy actually did himself in.
That and the fact that men, heterosexual, white Christian men in particular are held up in society as the lowest form of humanity. We’re the end all and be all of everything wrong in the world. We’re made out to be evil, worthless and completely undeserving of any consideration or respect.
He just couldn’t eat any more crow after Trump made Obummer’s economists look like buffoons.
What is a liberal economist?
One that wants your money, and will spend it for you and everybody else.
And, when you don’t ‘contribute’ enough money, we’ll just put the spending on ‘your’ credit card, and call it the national debt.
It’s the simplest economic system ever known. For simple minds.
Forgive them the same way God forgives you. If someone commits suicide they are not on their proper mind and need the forgiveness.
