Why is this even a question? Conviction of a felony is grounds for deportation of many legal immigrants, and conviction of an “aggravated” felony is grounds for deportation of even permanent residents. This guy is an illegal immigrant and would be deportable even if he had committed no other crime at all.

I think the deportation issue is an important afterthought. The family of the man who was killed wanted more jailtime for the illegal alien first. That was the first title of this article and then when I checked back, it changed to the title being about the deportation.
