The crowd in attendance at a vigil at Auckland’s Aotea Square cheered loudly when Attorney-General David Parker said the Government would ban semi-automatic rifles.
He warned of a global rise of extremism.
“There is a dimming of enlightenment in many parts of the world,” he said.
“How can it be right for this atrocity to be filmed by the murderer using a go-pro and live-streamed across the world by social media companies?
“How can that be right? Who should be held accountable for that?”
The answer is obvious: New Zealand’s law-abiding gun owners. They’re the ones who will pay for a crazed killer’s murder spree by giving up a piece of their gun rights and their property.
New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern vowed she’d crack down on gun rights.

And with the Attorney General’s pronouncement, Ardern moved swiftly to make good on that promise.
Speaking to media in Wellington this morning, Ardern stressed that “now was the time for change.”
Ardern said five guns were used by the primary perpetrator, including two semi-automatic weapons, and two shotguns.
“The offender was in possession of a gun licence,” Ardern said.
American civilian disarmament activists are cheering the New Zealand government’s swift reaction.
All is proceeding just as the shooter had planned.

How many laws were just broken during this attack on the two mosques?

If just one person had had a gun, all 49 would not have been killed. All those people in the mosque were unprotected and the one thing that would have stopped the carnage would have been a gun.
Banning does not stop the bad ones.. it hurts the innocent.
This incident smells very very false flaggy to me. Instant saturation media coverage, much of it aimed specifically at the US political system (why? we’re half a world away), and nigh well impossible for Americans to verify on our own what’s going on down there. Laws changing in 24 hours from an incident begs inspection for premeditation.

The shooter stated among other things he hoped to jumpstart CWII here by triggering a reflexive push to repeal the Second Amendment, but a semi-auto ban would do the same thing ...

I agree. This was a False Flag.
First they bring in folks who refuse to abide by existing laws in the host nation.
Then as civil unrest elevates, they start taking away the rights of the existing citizens.
Then the new comers are given preferential treatment, “to protect them and prove how nice we are.
Then women get raped, children get raped, property gets destroyed. Citizens get intimidated and the government does nothing about it.
The newcomers demand their own laws. They are accomodated.
Citizens are told they can’t worship as they have in the past, religious relics in public places are removed.
Children are indoctrinated in the public schools.
Long term citizens are forbidden to talk about what is happening.
The new “guests” take over completely.
So the goobermint gave a gun licences to a nut job, and blames the victims for the massacre. If she wants to understand the problem a little mirror time might help.
