The Senate's 'Dirty Dozen': Doing nothing about the border except obstructing Trump
American Thinker ^ | March 15, 2019 | Monica Showalter

Call it the procession of the RINOs. Call it the dirty dozen, standing up and getting themselves counted.

Loaded with piety, tears, and flapdoodle, 12 GOP senators proudly voted to halt President Trump's declaration of a "state of emergency" at the U.S. border as migrant caravan after migrant caravan after migrant caravan from Central America and beyond prepare to roll into the states through our porous border, and cartel human smugglers prepare for a big cash flow to themselves, the better to wreak havoc on Mexico and Central America.

Utah Senators Mitt Romney and Mike Lee, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Missouri Sen. Roy Blunt, Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander, Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Kansas Sen. Jerry Moran, Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker, plus the usuals, Maine's Sen. Susan Collins and Alaska's Sen. Lisa Murkowski, all made their Democratic colleagues in the Senate very, very happy with that vote cast against President Trump. Proud of yourselves, Utah?

For us, they threw out pious slop like this:

~snip~

To their credit, wavering Senators Thom Tillis of Montana, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and Cory Gardner of Colorado didn't join the dozen. Those are people we can still respect because they see that there is a problem out there, Trump' call to emergency in the wake of the constant thwarting of the border wall at a time of vast electoral fraud and massive social spending based on the presence of illegals does make some sense,

The twelve here aren't all horrible people on every issue, but their refusal to back Trump at a critical time is disturbing. Since they're part of the elites who haven't learned the voters' lesson, maybe it's time for the voters to make it more personal for them in their next election...

These twelve RINOs joined the obstructionist Democrats in forcing President Trump to veto this joint resolution so the President can carry out his sworn duty to protect the security of our nation, plain and simple.

Portman is my Senator. He’s a Kasich Republican. That is to say, a swamp creature to the fullest.

I sometimes feel like not voting for him, (at this point I don’t think I could vote Dem, I just wouldn’t vote in that race). If the D won, at least we’d know where the knife was coming from.

Used to like Rand, but I’m done with all of them.

I wonder if the Mexican cartels paid any money to any of the politicians to vote the way they did.
I understand many dems voted that way because they were told to, and some voted that way for the sheer joy of opposing Trump. The dem leadership knows the party’s future lies in bringing in more socialist voters to replace the ones lost to reason and sanity.
Do the pubs who nit-pick over Trump’s tweets and the like realize how close we came to losing everything under a Hillary presidency?

He’s the ONLY one that I MIGHT give the benefit of the doubt that he is sincere in his reasons. Though wrong.

He was the first to day Bill’s rapes were certainly a topic to be brought up during the election last time.

He has backed Trump on other occasions.

I could be VERY Wrong.

But the others, they are no lazy or pandering...they KNOW what they are doing and they are NO BETTER than most dems.

Except they vote for Trump’s court picks so we need them.

Mile Lee and Rand Paul are particularly galling, having made their career as Constitutionalists, and now when it is crunch time, they wrap themselves with the Constitution, using lying arguments to conceal their corrupt motives.

I suppose, in a few days, they both will be quoting James Madison again.

These traitors must be taken out in the primary proces# but they’re still better than any Democrat as they do vote correctly most of the time. Maybe I’ve missed where they tell us what must be done to correct this invasion. I’m sure I have missed it because the so-called Republicans are not that stupid. The problem has to be with me.

Good question...Not sure though I have a hunch they have some inkling while a few don't really care and we would have lost most everything under her.

Those 12 are not the only ones opposed to stopping the illegal alien inundation.

Alexander, Graham, McSally, Murkowsky, Hoeven, Rubio, Tillis, Burr, Lankford, Gardner, Cornyn, Hyde-Smith, Collins, Sasse, Kennedy, Shelby, Blunt, McConnell, Wicker, Portman, Isakson, Johnson, Toomey, Rounds, Thune, Gaines, Moran, Lee, Romney, Paul, Barasso and Enzi are all Bush League Republicans.

They MUST be replaced.

The Senate’s ‘Dirty Dozen’: Doing nothing about the border except obstructing Trump

Exactly right. I may have had a different opinion if even one of these asshats had a plan for securing the border that might work. Not a peep of a plan, therefore it is obstruction.

They’re trying to show DJT who’s boss. What a bunch of swamp scum. They either have no idea of the stakes of this death struggle with marxists, or they don’t care because the money’s just too good in the deep state swamp.

Reagan’s “80%” Republicans was political pragmatism. But there comes a point where even a well intentioned person can no longer support them.

The quandary I see is that none of these pubbies are my representatives - but the things they do and the choices them make are directly affecting me an mine. I can’t allow that to go unchallenged.

It’s time to direct an assault on these turncoats and drive them from office. They don’t represent us - they only represent themselves!

The RNC torpedoes any primary candidate challenging an incumbent RINO. They look at as their job.

Rand Paul should have been loyal to Trump, because Trump hasn’t been an interventionist. Both Rand and his father have barely discussed immigration.
