Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has been criticized after she appeared to slam New Zealand's PM Jacinda Ardern for offering 'thoughts & prayers' to the victims of today's massacre.
Sharing a clip of Ardern speaking about the deadly terror attack, she asked: 'What good are your thoughts & prayers when they don't even keep the pews safe?'
The New York congresswoman also said she did not need to 'imagine being told your house of faith isn't safe anymore' because it had happened so many times before.
She then referenced the 2015 Charleston church shooting, in which nine people were killed, the 2018 Pittsburgh synagogue attack, where eleven died, and the 2017 Sutherland Springs church shooting where 26 lost their lives.
Although she later clarified that she was criticizing the National Rifle Association rather than Ardern, her comments were widely condemned.

That isn't actually true; there are about 1.1 million guns in civilian hands in NZ. But they're heavily regulated, gun owners are licensed, and guns like AR-15s and all handguns are registered.
AOC needs to answer why those laws didn't prevent this attack, and why more laws like the ones that already proved ineffective are the answer.
She’s fine with applying “dehumanizing stereotypes” to the NRA, Donald Trump, and conservatives in general. Hypocrite.

If not for thoughts and prayers (Jesus) AOC would have been regularly raped from a young age and sold as a slave. Things would not be much better for most of everyone else.
1. Leftists disarm people.
2. Honest people give up their guns without a fight.
3. Other people who don’t obey the leftists disarming demand use those arms to kill the disarmed people.

Sounds to me that she think Muslim prayers are ineffective since they were massacred while praying. She also seems to think Mosques have pews.
