The manifesto is full of contradictions.

Some parts are heavy on nationalism, other parts talk about being green and he calls himself a fascist and says he most closely identifies with People’s Republic of China politically and later talks about creating chaos with antifa or alinsky actions.

The guy is all over the map.

It makes me believe this is not an organic attack.

The way the manifesto is written there is something for everyone on the political spectrum and the media can spin it off into any direction that suits them at the time.

All the bases are covered.

This is an agent provocateur, IMO.

I don’t disagree.

But the consistent thread is his Leftist Fascism.

After reading a bit more, I found witness accounts that he was playing the Brit Arthur Brown’s “Fire” during the attack. This masterpiece was recorded decades ago and I remember listening to it on FM radio in San Diego when I was on active duty in 1968. This incident certainly smells of professional planning.

Your comment was such a jewel of brevity and nicely expressed ideas that I've quoted the entire thing below. ^^;

I agree that shadowy agents provocateurs may have been ultimately behind this event, but I strongly suspect the actual attacker is just one more admittedly bright but undeniably unbalanced slob who fell into the mindset of believing extreme violence to be the only viable solution to the problem that existed in his head. His manifesto brims with individual initiative. He may very well have been quietly guided into violence and perhaps even secretly supplied with the financial wherewithal to create havoc, but that doesn't reduce his direct, personal responsibility for shooting up two mosques and killing 49 people as reported. If the "Deep State" was behind this event, well, the tradition of pushing a sacrificial goat into radical actions has a long history.

I also quite agree that the manifesto is riddled with intellectually contradictory ideas, which is why I briefly commented earlier on the cultural value of this document as an insight into the tenor of the times, which has become flooded with intellectually contradictory, intensely leftist ideas. Regrettably, it also meanders all over the map in repeatedly expressing apparent admiration of several conservative personalities and superficially right-wing ideas such as the right to keep and bear arms. I think this wide-ranging intellectual landscape genuinely reflects the fellow's personal mentality, but you're incontrovertibly correct in predicting that that the media doofuses at ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, HuffPo, and every other blubberingly leftist outlet will go bat-guano insane with "white supremacist" and "gun nut" tropes. After being repeatedly disappointed by a long string of supposedly right-wing killers who turned out in reality to be far-leftist maniacs, they finally have a leftist killer who can be plausibly labeled as an genuine white supremacist. Naturally, the clear leftism in the manifesto will be totally ignored with the white supremacist and pro-firearms bits being blared to high heaven across every possible channel.

Furthermore, I truly wonder how this drama will play out in the courts once the killer, who evidently was captured alive, has the opportunity to take the stand. Will the powers that be move to permanently shut him up before he can speak? Will he have a lethal "accident" in jail? Will he even be permitted to personally testify in his own defense? Will he ultimately try for an insanity plea at the urging of his lawyer? Is that allowed by New Zealand's criminal laws? Are there any other legal quirks that would complicate the criminal case? So many questions arise. O_o

In a final note, I see that Fox News has been blaring the following headline: "49 dead as racist maniac mows down worshippers in New Zealand mosques; attack possibly livestreamed". Possibly? I watched the attack video myself earlier this morning after locating a reasonable version of it on a well-known website that affects the general theme of "Yarrr, me matey." Is this a transparent attempt to manipulate the general populace into not seeking out some increasingly "mythical" live-streamed video that in reality increasingly becomes confined to a few niche websites and multiple file servers hidden in the bowels of the Deep State? It's not an especially interesting video — footage of extremely violent Islamic horrors against innocent Christians and others across the globe has been far, far worse — but trying to disappear the video down the memory hole is useless and condescending.

As I've expressed....Truth is he planned and coordinated this attack and then pulled the trigger all by himself. He's the sole responsibility party. Full stop.

Perspective:

During 2018 there were 1,976 'Islamic attacks' in 56 countries, in which 11,769 people were killed and 11,483 injured......And just this month Christians were attacked yet again...yet our media gives these a footnote at best....
