Don’t let Little Marco off the hook we have been pissed on for Two and half years no mas basta its over for me listening to crap about Trump voters. We won fair and square. I worked for Trump to see what his organization was all about. I can tell you he had not much in Pennsytucky. It was always about his message his airplane and his swagger. The greatest political victory in American history. And we are not giving it up to assholes like Rubio and Toomey. 202-224-4254

I am appalled that my senator, Rob Portman, voted with the liberals on this. He gave zero indication, zero warning.

Tillis and SASSE both vote with Trump. The later surprises me.

The Anti-Trump (YEA) votes

Alexander, Blunt, Collins, Lee, Moran, Murkowski, Paul, Portman, Romney (wtf with with him saying he made his mind but not saying which way?), Rubio, Toomey, Wicker (and of course every RAT including Manchin and Jones).

Apparently the rinos are as dense as they are worthless. The rnc continues to send me donation requests after years of returning their requests with an explanation of why I will never support them.

Tomorrow is a veto. Next week is the failed veto override. There is no crisis.

What WILL happen in the near future are the lawsuits brought by the Democrats, the blue states, and possibly joined by some Republicans. Many people have said that the lawsuits, while being nuisance, will go nowhere because the political process that Congress laid out was executed to its completion as designed, and there is no standing for Congress to demand that the courts overrule simply because they didn't get the outcome they wanted.

As I've posted before, the proper thing for Congress to do is to pass new legislation that limits the authority of the Executive to declare emergencies, and limit the conditions under which allocated funds can be redirected in the future.

Trump might sign that bill for future presidents, as he may still call himself an "outsider" and not care about keeping power once gained "for the office," if not for himself personally. Or, he may decide to screw with Congress and veto it. In the latter case, I do think Congress would be able to override that veto because it returns delegated power back to Congress. With that view, Trump would be foolish to enter into a losing battle that will tarnish his image by taking an "own goal" to his reputation.

Meanwhile, the wall gets built.

They need 67. And it’s not nearly that close in the house.

The good news is this:

The claim that these morons voting for the Resolution was based on the Constitutional power of the purse that rests with the Congress is complete nonsense, designed to deceive the public. The House starts appropriation bills, but the Senate and the Executive have their own say and their own power. The NEA is not an appropriation and is silent on expenditures, except to require the President to report expenditures under the NEA EO every six months that the EO is in effect. The Congress has delegated their powers to the Executive and Trump exercised his powers and will prevail as the Congress cannot overturn his veto.

So, the real result has been to expose these Republicans for what they really are. They have chosen a side and that side is the Democrat side. By their actions today, they have shown that they believe that Democrat political goals and maneuvers are more important to them than the sovereign rights of the United States. We should not forget.

I e-mailed Rubio, after composing a simple message.
“Sad to see your vote against President Trump.”
What were you thinking? Two things come to my mind.
You are still burning over the loss in the 2016 Primary?
And, you have decided to retire from politics at the end of your term.”

This is all Bishop Romley’s doing.

My favorite posts on FR were the jackasses telling everyone we had to vote for Myth [for POTUS] even though he was a phony...but if we voted in a republican congress, they'd "hold his feet to the fire."

This is what being a sesame street voter and voting for someone just because they were brought to you by the letter 'R' gets you.

This is what the "lesser of two evils" brings us - a full on invasion and nothing but a pair of magic underwear to show for it.

Maybe after this, even some of the more dense among us will finally wake the #### up.

I held my nose and voted for Toomey, because the alternative was a D.

And I’ll probably have to do the same thing again. We’re unlikely to get a conservative from the primary.

A basket of despicables! They don’t have 67 votes to override Trump’s veto.

“....they almost had 60” (votes in Senate)

Except they need 68 to overturn a veto. Really not close.

In the House they need 290 votes. That means they need 55 Republicans to vote along with very Democrat in order to overturn ba veto.

Ain’t gonna happen. Trump vetos the bill and looks tough and strong doing it. The Liberal again go crazy while Trump reenforces his base while doing the right thing for our country.

Win, win!!
