The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Wednesday ordered two Boeing 737 Max jets one model of which was involved in the fatal Ethiopian Airlines crash that killed 157 people to be temporarily grounded in the U.S.
The agency said the decision was made to ground both the Boeing 737 Max 8 and 737 Max 9 models "as a result of the data gathering process and new evidence collected at the site and analyzed."
"The grounding will remain in effect pending further investigation, including examination of information from the aircraft's flight data recorders and cockpit voice recorders," the FAA said.

The 737 Max 8,9,10 do not fly like other 737s and have very different characteristics. This is why electronics were installed to assist and prevent the plane from being classified as a new "type"....which requires additional training, costs, etc.
This seems to be a situation of rushing the plane to market and making too many bandages to avoid costs.
Foreign programmers are cheap though.
No, the FAA didn’t, the President did. FAA should have, Boeing should have, only the President had the balls to do so.
No plans or car should EVER be able to override the pilot or driver
Have You flown, floued, fieyed or driven either of these ?
That’s why the Ethiopian government wanted a European county to analyze the black boxes - they are afraid the FAA will whitewash the results to protect Boeing.
I’ve flown the B737 in a full motion simulator. The flight deck is exactly what the A/L’s fly like Alaska.
Here is a 737 Bush plane..... taking off and landing : )

OK, was any in the MAX8 or 9 configuration ?
From what I can gather both were 8’s .
I was asking if You have any time in an 8 or 9 ?
OK, that’s cool. Thank You
