FULL TITLE: Exclusive — Donald Trump: Bill Blocking National Emergency Declaration for Border Wall ‘Going to Be Vetoed,’ ‘Hard to Believe’ Any GOP Senators Voting for It

President Donald Trump marveled that any Senate Republican could vote against his decision to declare a National Emergency on the Southern border in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News in the Oval Office on Monday. But Trump vowed again that he would veto the measure regardless of whether it passes the Senate. Trump suggested that Democrats in the Senate and the handful of Republicans planning to vote to block the national emergency declaration are on the losing side of the immigration issue in the eyes of the public. He argued that, generally speaking, immigration is an 80/20 issue, meaning that 80 percent–or the vast majority of Americans–want the border secured, whereas just 20 percent support continued mass illegal immigration.

“We have a vote coming up on this whole national emergency thing it’s an 80/20 issue in our favor, it’s border security, a wall, no crime versus open borders and nothing but crime,” Trump said. “Forty-seven Democrats will probably vote for the 20 percent issue, and with the Republicans, we have some that don’t vote for it. It’s hard to believe actually.”

Currently, it would only take four Senate Republicans to oppose the president’s declaration to send the bill to his desk. The vote is schedule for Thursday in the U.S. Senate.

Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Rand Paul (R-KY) have already signaled their decision to join Democrats by opposing the president’s border national emergency declaration. Sen. Thom Tillis (R-NC) has also stated his opposition, but has signaled that he might be open to changing his mind.

Vice President Mike Pence met with Republican Senators on Tuesday to help drum up...

If you have to seriously BEG Republican Senators to secure our border it just goes to show these Senators have the same mindset as Democrats, open borders, except they want them for votes, Republicans want them for cheap labor

Even if it passes both houses with veto-proof majorities, I say to President Trump to veto it anyway and make congress override your veto.

It's easy for a RINO to virtue-signal when you know the measure is going to pass anyway, but I think that there are enough squishy Rs that they would change their minds when it came time to actually put up or shut up.

Collins, Murkowski, Rand Paul are leaning more towards the Communists Democrats and if in for reelection should be defeated. Rand Paul is a stone idiot. The other two lack brains. Nothing I hate worst is jackasses that got elected as a R and are nothing more than a communists Democrat.

Any Republican voting against this emergency is a RINO and traitor to the USA.

Murkowski is owned wholesale by Feinstein. Period. She’s got the goods on Murkowski.

Collins? Who knows. I think she may be the GOP version of Patty Murray, but I may be wrong and she’s owned by someone too. Murray is stupid AND evil. She’s also insecure, so she has surrounded herself with idiots. One of them used to be related to me.

Republicans want them for cheap labor

They lost the House on purpose, and are fixing to lose the Senate, too.

Because they hate being in charge, they prefer the Dems control everything, so they can sit back and bitch about the crappy laws they are passing, meanwhile behind the scenes they are high fiving each other in support of it

You say...’Feinstein has the goods on Murkowski’?

I say at 86 years old, Feinstein is brain dead and in a stage of dementia ...and she is a prime reason we need TERM LIMITS.

Also, Feinstein is not looking a bit healthy lately, really showing her age other than for her fake and phony brunette hair color..like RBG she hits the color bottle often, probably every three weeks.. I hair-dressed for 42 years, I know the process, and the pattern they all follow...there comes a point where it ages you more than helps you....I've notices she is laying a bit low, and hidden lately also , she knows she is looking haggard.....86 is too damn old to be in Congress...

MO..enough said.

The GOP is not a serious party anymore. I will never vote Democrat but will hold my nose for the Republicans.

The evil, traitor, culprit here, folks, is no one other the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell. McConnell needs to get together with his RINO pals in the Senate and tell them in no uncertain terms, in both private & public that they will support & vote with POTUS, Donald J. Trump...100%...period.

If McConnell does not get every Republican to vote and support POTUS, Trump on his Border Wall national security mandate,...then McConnell will be neither Senator from Kentucky and Senate Majority Leader when the 2020 election is ended. Case closed....get a backbone, Senator, Mitch McConnell and do what a leader is supposed to do, control his or her caucus!!!
