To: Tired of Taxes

Act sat testing a nightmare. We went with act as format easier to work with. Then their hs guidance counselor gave a list of some great priv colleges that do not require sat or act scores. They were accepted to many based on grades, interview, reference letters, work and a unique personal essay.

Those personal essays have become bogus too, with many having hired ghost writers at this point.

Congrats to your child, by the way! Many colleges now offer test-optional admissions.

We’re a homeschool family, so my sons each had to take the test. Now I wish I didn’t tell all of them to take it. Focusing on that test took too much time away from their other studies.
