It’s not morally different from Mexican moms trying to better their children by sneaking them across the border. But I’m sure Mr. Bruni is for that.
We can still guess.
Californicator has been $crewing Asian kids with good grades and SATs re blocking their entrance into the state colleges/universities for as long as we have been here, decades.
Then, their game playing extended to white middle class kids and a lot of girls could not get into a 4 year college in spite of excellent grades and SATs. Often they had to settle for 2 years of community colleges and repeat their high school courses to get into a good college.
We may find that this elitist bs has created another left wing layer of worthless people. There is apparently a large scale college entry group of private advisers. They are paid to get the non elitists kids into colleges.
We know one of these people. When my wife told her that one of our younger male relatives, had been accepted at two good engineering schools in California and 5 other good schools in nearby states.
This woman’s response was not “Congratulations!”
Her response was, “How did he do that?”
That happened before this scandal became common knowledge.
Let’s see if the Democrats start talking about regulating donations to private universities. I don’t think that will go very far.
