Thanks for this, and unfortunately is doesn’t surprise me. I wasn’t very political in 1972, but I do recall wondering what Nixon was doing when he visited China in an effort to establish trade relations. The war in Vietnam was ongoing and it was their arms that kept N Vietnam propped up. Fast forward to today and it is America propping up China with yearly trade deficits and Vietnam is a booming economy, while China undermines our military. DJT is right to put them in the crosshairs.
