Which one’s had the pre dawn raid by 29 FBI agents televised on CNN?
Hollywood elites only allowed.
Rich, white democrats who are all for affirmative action, use the side door for admission for their kids...
I read somewhere a google founder was involved. Early investor?
Saw it listed once and not again.
This is early. Likely many more to be exposed.
Test Administrator. Ya gotta love it. Corruption here there everywhere!
The supervisor agent in charge of the Boston Office of the FBI stated a person being interviewed in an unrelated case offered up the scheme run by William Rick Singer apparently as a way of obtaining leniency in his or her troubles.
The FBI obtained authorization to wire tap Singer’s phones and then convinced him to flip on the others. He became cooperating witness 1 in the deposition by FBI agent Laura Smith. Cooperating witness 2 is apparently Mark Riddell of Palmetto FL. He was apparently the “proctor” who took the tests for the idiot spawn of the wealthy and infamous in the list of disgraced individuals.
Several of the California state schools have fired the coaches involved in the RICO activities. (I am surprised at the swiftness of the termination by California state schools, but there must be some decent presidents-chancellors there.)
Reading Special Agent Smith’s affidavit was stunning as to how little faith the parents h ad in their children’s academic abilities, how eager they were to pay and to commit fraud to have their children admitted to their first choice colleges, how none of the parents seemed to believe that providing a structured environment for their children to study and insisting they study would make any difference in their children’s academic development, how none of the parents seemed to have a problem with committing fraud, etc.
I hope they are each convicted and sentenced to stiff fines and the maximum jail time for their crimes.

A lot of Californians in the first list of probable criminals:

Make them send their dummy kids to Hillsdale college, and tell them that if they don't maintain a 3.5 average, and a 90% passing score on knowledge of the constitution, that they will serve 40 years or more.
I’m stunned this is such news. This type of thing has gone on forever. The rich always tries to get away with murder. I don’t think Lori is a liberal from what I gather from people on Twitter at least...lol. I know not a great source. I wish she had not gotten herself into this mess. She is awesome in those christmas movies that everyone loves. Hopefully she will plead guilty and get probation and that Hallmark is in a forgiving mood.
I hope they are each convicted and sentenced to stiff fines and the maximum jail time for their crimes.
Each count is 10 years. Each person has at least 2 counts. I do not agree with your statement one single bit. No way should they do at least 20 years when murderers don’t even get that in many cases. Forget it......fine and probation or fine and 1 year in jail.
Huffman’s husband somehow escaped.
It’s like she learned a trick from her husband’s character on “Shameless.” Sounds like a real Frank Gallagher move.
I feel cheated. Applied to a couple colleges on the strength of my grades (fair to good), extracurricular activities (good), and other interests in science, etc.
Got in and had to really work for my degree.
Had a fencing team that needed interested students to fill depleted spots (due to graduation). There were no scholarships until a couple years later.
However, our academic ratings were very high, produced 3 All-American fencers in two years, two who went on the next year to become All-American fencers again, and won about 10 straight MAC championships.
Most diverse team in the college. White, black, Asian (coach), Jewish, Irish Catholic, Italian Catholic, possibly a kid with India heritage, and some whose planet of origin was unknown (If they could hold a weapon, pass their courses, and show up, they were on the team).
The All-American epee fencer, my friend Geoff Hamm, was killed in action in Vietnam in 1967. A true officer and gentleman, and leader to the team, school, and America.
Our mid-60’s generation earned its respect. Never bought our way into anything. Working class families and proud of it. Several of us were either in the military, Vietnam (military/civilian), or medicine. Proud of those guys!
So what laws were broken?
Apparently there may have been some tax evasion and illegal money laundering involved here, but I don't understand how bribing someone to get your kid into a college is actually a crime.
Wire fraud and mail fraud mainly. Federal offenses.
This is unfair. These white kids took admission slots that should have gone to less-qualified minorities.
Who was defrauded?
