Just the fact that party affiliation is important when it comes to these black robed tyrants is all the proof I need to know that allowing these old windbags to interpret our Constitution and laws is a big mistake. These windbags have political agendas just like the rest of us. If the left wants to close something down, I’d like to suggest the Federal judicial system. The greatest threat to America’s freedom and liberty.

With Mateys confirmation, the Third Circuit shifts to a 7-6 majority of Republican appointees... Trump previously appointed Stephanos Bibas and David Porter to the 14-member court of appeals. So there still another vacancy? Come on Trump/Turtle getter done.

I love it when a plan comes together. When more conservative decisions are delivered by the Appeals Courts, the Supreme Court can let those decisions stand, avoiding the chance of Roberts getting wobbly in the knees.

But the Wall! The Wall! Donald Trump isn’t making it magically happen! Wah, we wanna see hopscotch, not a prolonged game of chess!

The tradition of giving the home State Senators a say is to speed up the process not slow it down! Senators would almost always support someone from their own State, no matter what their Party.

Am I a bad man for chuckling gleefully at this turn of events? Is it a sin to hop around like a bunny at the thought of more and more federal courts being forcibly restructured back to constitutional originalism? Grinning folks want additional fodder for pure amusement that is totally at the expense of the leftists!

I said it the first day when Trump was in office: he stated he will change the judiciary in our favor as his 2ND PROMISE, (first which is the WALL). He knows the country may tilt to the left after he leaves and just like obamatard..he’s leaving landmines for the incoming presidency after him.

This is good news, but there are 167 judgeship vacancies to be filled with conservative appointees by President Trump, and yet, the Republicans are dragging their feet.

the extreme politicization of “our” courts is precisely what our Founders fought so hard to prevent, avoid for our judiciary
but FDR did it and it seems its continued to this day, at least with the far left wingers

On Monday, after a vote to close debate on the Matey nomination was split on party lines, Sen. Robert Menendez, D-New Jersey, sharply criticized Republicans for advancing Mateys nomination without the consent of the two home-state senators. When you don't demonstrate courtesy to anyone else, don't be surprised when they don't show any to you.
