Freshman U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., is a “puppet congresswoman,” and “the people controlling her are very dangerous.”
It sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory, acknowledges actor, writer and political commentator Christopher Patrick Kohls.
But the first-hand evidence is there for anyone to see, he contends in a video produced under his Mr Reagan moniker.
“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is not really the congresswoman of New York’s 14th Congressional District,” he says provocatively as he opens the video. “She is essentially an actress. She’s merely playing the part of a New York congresswoman.”
Kohls explains that in 2017, a progressive group that formed in response to Trump’s election called the Justice Democrats held “auditions” for potential congressional candidates to run on their platform.
As evidence, he runs a clip from a Justice Democrats video.
“Back in 2016, we put out a call for nominations,” says the group’s executive director, Alexandra Rojas. “We got over 10,000 nominations. Out of those 10,000 nominations, we found Alexandria.”
Ocasio-Cortez herself, in another video, says her brother nominated her.
“My brother told me that he had sent my nomination in the summer, but I was, like, literally working out of a restaurant then. And I was like, there’s no way,” she says.

That’s not the shocking part - the shocking part is that she and omar were both run and are being directed by the same organization (along with several others)
Anyone who hasn't caught onto the AOC traveling show hasn't been paying attention.
She is the sock puppet for hard-core socialists, many in academia, who feel that now is the time to push forward towards the final transformation of America.

AOC is a good example of the post turtle: she didn’t get there by herself.
Cunning yes, I’m not sure about dangerous, unless you mean the stupidity of the average Leftist dangerous.
But in another way, I like the idea and perhaps conservatives should do the same. I’d be happy if EVERY GOP member of both the Senate and House be replaced by well-known FReepers, for example.
Yeoman farmers, workmen, business people, etc, should be elected to serve, but it seems to be 99% lawyers.

Why would anyone be shocked by political organizations forming to direct and control who has access and advantage on ballot position and organizational campaigning?
Just because there are groups besides the two major political parties running the show for politicians doesn’t mean it’s odd or shocking. Just the opposite. The biggest difference that I can see here is that normally in the political parties you are expected to take an upward path and wait your turn, which is good and bad. With these it appears you get fast tracked. With the parties you are virtually assured to be a well trained.... er... well groomed asset by the time you get the higher reins, but the good side is that you usually have a pretty good idea what you’re voting for.

Her audience hears her message, but the Right can't attack her because she is a self-confessed idiot and doesn't present a solid target.
She’s not “scripted.” More like she’s coached or briefed or prepped or advised or counseled or prompted to stress certain points. And I doubt she’s a wholly passive partner in the proceedings. There would have to be some give and take between her and her handlers, and by now they probably know that she’s going to cut loose and not be confined to any narrow set of guidelines, notes or talking points. She’s different from most freshmen in Congress because she grabs the cameras, but she may not be any more dependent on her staff than the rest of them are.
