LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Jefferson County Public Schools will close Tuesday due to teacher shortages as local educators continue protesting at the Capitol.
JCPS made the call around 10 p.m. Monday, saying that about one-third of teachers had said they'd be absent.
Tuesday will mark the fourth work stoppage at JCPS in less than two weeks. Teachers have voiced opposition to three bills before the General Assembly, notably one that would legalize tax credits for donors to groups that award private-school scholarships.
...
JCPS will rescheduled the ACT test that was to be taken Tuesday to April 24.

This would be infuriating to me as a student to work hard preparing for this and expecting to take it one day, then have it abruptly changed like this. The level of disrespect and selfishness is off the charts.
Fire them.
No public servants should ever be allowed to unionize.
Maybe this will red-pill the students who just had the rug pulled out from under them who were expecting to take the ACT tomorrow.
From Salary.com:
“The average Public School Teacher salary in Kentucky is $51,624 as of February 28, 2019, but the range typically falls between $45,072 and $59,601.”
That doesn’t include health benefits and retirement (after only 27 years).
From the DepartmentofNumbers.com:
“According to the Census ACS 1-year survey, the median household income for Kentucky was $48,375 in 2017, the latest figures available.
The despise school choice. This is all to keep as many kids as possible enslaved in their control.
Some day soon, an entrepreneur will hire the 100 best K-12 teachers in America, put them on the Web, and that will be the end of the road for 3 million teachers.
Fire the teachers, close the public schools, give parents vouchers to send their kids to Catholic or private schools. Problem solved.
