Concur. I like to get out and get a bike ride in before the traffic gets too busy and it gets too hot here in central FL.
OK, I'll bite. How would getting rid of times zones work?
What do times zones have to do with Wells Fargo, Jim Hardie and stagecoaches?
Split the difference and leave it.
It must cost the economy millions in lost productivity to change back and forth.

I prefer reverting to Standard Time. If groups want dark mornings, then go to work earlier. If Daylight time becomes standard though, that would be ok; just stop with changing the damned clocks.

..and it is thinking like this why we cannot get rid of the stupidity.
Sorry, but if the kid is old enough to walk to school, they should be smart enough to look for traffic.

This has to be one of the stupidest things we allow to happen to us. Absolutely brainless.

Even with daylight savings, the neighborhood kids still have to catch the bus in the dark. They had a week or so of daylight mornings to ride the bus
Sounds like this time adjustment thing is really working then. Only two killed.
It is still dumb. Kids here get on in the dark anyway. Making it DST year round won’t make it any darker when they get on than dark already.
Ours already wait on the bus in the dark some days in the deep of winter. The early bus is always in the dark anyway.
What happened is the powers that be drew the time zone lines wrong to begin with

This is an absolute truth. I was reminded of it yesterday while fueling the truck. Grandmother and a nice little girl pulled up. the kid was all excited about some kind of shoe that slide on the concrete and then wanted to help get gas. She didn’t do the receipt option and all the grandmother could do was bitch at her. Children that are raised by crass, crude, cruel and ignorant adults usually turn out the same way as the adults.
Most people should not have children. They aren’t qualified.
Sam you know that only the government could come up with something like that and sell it as “reasonable”.
Half hour time zones might be the easiest way to achieve the split in the difference.
Or change some of the time zones. It seems like most people want to just stay on DST(more light later in the day) except the people on the far western edge of the time zones like Michigan.
