The Public Schools have been doing that for years already.

These kids think everything is wrong....as they live in houses heated by gas, computers, TVs and every other damn appliance run by electricity....polish their leather shoes, throw the empty bottle unto the highway. I believe young people are the most wasteful folks on earth...just because they can.

“...polish their leather shoes...”

Who here knows a Millenial that’s ever polished their smooth leather shoes?

That is the truth. My wife and I grew up with people who were adults during the depression. They didn't waste anything. We are having to downsize and I have all this stuff that I need to part with, but its difficult because I want to find someone else who can use it. It is mostly going to charity, but even charities don't want stuff that would be difficult to sell.

I had to take a truly great TV to the recyclers the other day. It was still in perfect condition 30 years after we bought it. No one wants those big old power hungry cathode ray TVs anymore. The thing had much better speakers than most stereos these days and a powerful amp with full bass. The guy at the recyclers broke off the door that hid the controls, but he said that it didn't matter because they were going to be busting the whole thing to pieces.
