I would think anyone wanting to learn music, would want to learn those.

Well, the problem arises when someone is naturally talented and wants to just PLAY. Their ears and fingers already know what to do, so why should they have to slow down and let their EYES catch up?
That was my problem growing up, so now I am very careful about trying to make THEORY Interesting!
